The children in today's society are faced with many challenges that we as an older generation never experienced nor completely understand. Then by adding abuse and neglect to the daily experience, you have an intolerable situation. These children truly are the future and what happens to them now can have a lasting effect on their lives. These children need and deserve to have someone in their corner at every turn in their journey for them to lean on. I know firsthand what it means to have people come into my life that made a difference, and help put me on a new path. I believe those people that were placed in my life are the reason I am still here today, and with those blessings I received, I am honored and determined to give back and help make a difference.
